A praying church is a healthy growing church.  The Board of Christian Education recently met and discussed the need for a time of adult prayer time.  

This is not a “fellowship” time as much as it is a targeted, focused, time of concentrated prayer.  Prayer for our church, our members, our community, our city, our country, our world.

Next Meeting will be Monday, May 13th at 7 PM, at the home of Steve & Debbie Kershaw’s.  These meetings are called Cottage, because they meet not in a church setting, but in a home setting, much the way that Christians in the time of Jesus met to lift each other up.

There will be a sitter at the church for the hour or so that the adult prayer time is going on.  This to allow parents with children can be free of any distractions while attending the prayer meeting.

If you believe prayer is a vital part of the ministry of First Baptist Church, please plan to attend.  You do not have to pray out loud–we understand that some are simply not comfortable with that–but come if you are willing to listen to the prayers of others and silently lift up your own.  

If you would like to host a Cottage Prayer meeting in your home–please let Pastor John know.  God knows our hearts and only asks us to brings our desires to him.  Are you willing to do that?
